Health Sciences Center – Salt Lake Community College – Jordan Campus

About This Project

Salt Lake Community College is a public community college in Salt Lake County, Utah. It is the state’s largest two-year college with the most diverse student body. It serves more than 60,000 students on 10 campuses as well as through online classes.

Stippich Design collaborated with the Health Sciences college to develop, design and fabricate a donor recognition package and exterior building identification dimensional lettering for the Health Sciences Center at their Jordan Campus building. During the development phase of the process it was decided to build the donor recognition using image plates that reinforced the Health Sciences college mission of educating, training and then once they leave practicing what individuals have learned at the Health Sciences college. During the design phase of the process it was decided to use 3Form plates which would allow for printing both imagery and incorporating color in a consistent basis and range of color possibilities. A separate 3Form image plate would then be placed behind a second 3Form turquoise plate that would have the donor recognition information screen printed in white so if needs be donor recognition could be updated in a much more cost effective manner. Metal flags were incorporated to present important thematic messaging to the Health Sciences college on the donor recognition wall and then incorporated into the individual donor recognition for spaces to aid in mounting them to the wall.
