The Nest @ Rio Grande

About This Project

The Nest @ Rio Grande is a 220 unit modern apartment community in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Designed for urban living and providing much needed affordable housing units to the Salt Lake downtown market.

Stippich Design collaborated with W3 Partners, GSBS Architects, Big-D Construction and EMG Management to develop and design logos, to develop, design and manufacture the Interior signage package, exterior identification signage, exterior parking signage, and large floor identification graphics.

The development phase began with the development/design of the logo, a variety of color options for the circle background for flexibility and creating a range of options for the logo’s incorporation into the environment of The Nest @ Rio Grande.

The design phase focused on determining the aesthetics of the interior signage and implementation of the strategy for incorporating the logo circle N in the bottom right corner of the signage. For the exterior identification sign our team created a range of drawings and renderings to determine the best location, size and materials. Once the building was far enough in construction our team created photo renderings to make sure initial design concepts aligned with overall goals for the exterior identification sign. The circle background of the logo with the variety of color options from the development phase was then integrated into the design of the large graphic floor identifications.
